TRADE FINANCE
DLC ' documentary letter-of-credit ': namely for Packing Loan.
*some financial houses allow for trade documents submission
- expand trade opportunities: for exporter short of capital, and has no way to procure prepayment, the packing loan will help the exporter to develop the business and still secure the trade opportunity.
- reduce use of self-owned capital: at stages of goods preparation (production, purchase, etc).
ENHANCEMENTS
SBLC ' stand-by letter-of-credit ' : an assurance that your company has the financial resources to perform as agreed under contract. The issuing bank essentially substitutes its credit standing for that of your company in order to facilitate the contract. SBLCs are legal documents that support contractual agreements between two parties.
- leverage funding for projects
- credit enhancement
- blocked funds
- to qualify for financing
- net worth requirements
- proof of funds
- commodities & energy transactions
- provide assurance
- fulfill bid-bond and performance bond requirements
- secure 3rd-part financing
BG ' bank guarantee ' : is similar to SBLC in many ways except for:
A BG, like a line of credit, guarantees a sum of money to a beneficiary. Unlike a line of credit, the sum is only paid if the opposing party does not fulfill the stipulated obligations under the contract. This can be used to essentially insure a buyer or seller from loss or damage due to non-performance by the other party in a contract.
POF ' proof of fund ' : by SWIFT, or bank letter.
