BLOCK PURCHASES

Providing liquidity for clients in possession of concentrated security positions. Clients in need of a block purchase transactions usually need rapid liquidity for an investment opportunity or to handle a debt, and they can’t afford to take the time to liquidate enough of their holdings. We will acquire the position at a negotiated discount and then fund the transaction immediately, thus providing liquidity to the client and, over time, slowly liquidating the position.


STOCK LOANS

Stock secured financing is a relatively new concept in the global marketplace. For a number of years, stock loans were only available to high net worth clients with accounts at large international institutions. Our clients currently have access to our stock loan products in our effort to democratize alternative financial solutions.

Hedging Strategies

Current and former executives of public companies are usually in possession of concentrated positions of a single security. In order to pursue the generally accepted principle of diversification, the executive is forced to sell some portion of the position in order to purchase other assets. We can provide an alternative path to diversification in the form of a stock loan.

A stock loan allows executives to borrow against a minority stake of their holdings and use the proceeds to invest in alternative assets like real estate, private placements, new business ventures, etc. The hedging strategy allows the client to remain exposed to the upside potential of the concentrated security position while at the same time releasing liquidity for alternative investments.

Affiliate Monetization

Affiliates of public companies often find themselves in need of capital, but unsure as to how to properly monetize their holdings. Some of the larger global institutions provide minimal liquidity solutions for their clients, but they usually only work with the largest clients associated with blue chip firms.
